Oil Service
The oil service was due based on the CBS reminder on the dashboard. The Countryman F60 uses a BMW-derived B38 or B48 petrol engine depending on the variant, and requires fully synthetic oil to BMW Longlife specification, the same standard as the rest of the BMW Group range.
Engine oil and filter were replaced. The CBS was reset after the service using the diagnostic tool. Air filter condition was checked within limits on this car, no replacement needed at this visit.
Wheel Alignment
Wheel alignment was done after the shock absorber replacement, the correct sequence. Aligning a car with worn shocks is not meaningful because the geometry shifts once new damping components settle under load. With the new rear units in place, a full four wheel alignment was carried out.
